Stairs ascend from a parking garage under the ground beside the National Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul, a true cathedral taking over 100 years to build as headquarters of the Episcopal Church here in the US, located in Washington DC. The stairs beckon, as if a stairway meant to channel you toward the Lord God in the sanctuary that lies ahead of you. A truly magnificent building of workmanship.
